Spring Interlock – Game Format

Hi Coaches / Managers,

As players get older, the specific small-sided soccer rules adjust slightly.  The following is a list of the ages involving a game format transition.

U8 > U9

U10 > U11

U12 > U13

U13 > U14

This spring, the North Fraser Youth Soccer Association (NFYSA) Interlock league will be following the Cascadia format, where they introduce the upcoming fall age group requirements for these age groups.

Please refer to the NFYSA_U8-U13_Small_Sided_Game_ Rules_2023-24_Aug23.pdf for details. This guide includes field size, goal size, ball size, game duration, and more. Remember to also connect with the opposing coach prior to the start of the game to ensure everyone is on the same page.
