FAQs
No. In fact, they are two separate registrations. A player can choose to register for academy training, and/or register to play with a team.
Go to Registration for more information.
SBMC issues no refund after a child has played in a sanctioned game or practice. Before playing in a sanctioned game or practice, a refund of the registration fee, less an administrative handling of $50, will be issued. It will take up to 30 days to process the refund.
If registration fees are paid by credit card, the refund will likely be credited directly to the applicable credit card. E-transfers will not be made. Please include the full name of the player, the name of the parent and the correct mailing address when making the request.
There will be no make-up session if the session is cancelled due to field closure due to weather conditions. Session schedule and time can be changed at any time. In case of any dispute, the SBMC Executive Committee’s decision is final.
We believe in balancing our teams with children of all skill levels, especially for the really young age groups.
If you are unsure that a team setting is a good start for your child, register for our Monday Academy training only. This is a good place to develop individual skills, for young players who are brand new to soccer and there are no weekend games.
Teams will be formed following the September assessment sessions. While we try to accommodate requests for scheduling and team placement where possible (please let us know), we are subject to some restrictions i.e. registration numbers, gym and field availability and the need to balance teams.
Please make sure your child is wearing shorts, a comfy t-shirt, a water bottle, soccer cleats and shin pads. SBMC will provide the rest (balls, shorts and jerseys).
