A team official (i.e., coach or manager) must arrive at the designated check-in area at least 45 minutes before their first match.
Players are not required to check in.
ID cards/player passes are not required; however, proof of age of a player may be requested at any time by the referee or another member of the tournament staff.

Players must have proper soccer footwear and shin guards.
All teams must carry a first aid kit, game ball and pinnies.
The home team is listed first and is responsible for supplying the game ball and changing jerseys or wearing pinnies (or alternate jerseys) if there is a colour clash.

Arrival Time

Teams are expected to be on the field and ready to play at least 20 minutes before their scheduled match.
Late teams risk forfeiting their game.

Game Lengths

U4/U5 will play 20-minutes.
U6/U7 will play 25-minutes.
U8/U9 will play 2x20-minutes.
U10/U11 will play 2x25-minutes.
U12/U13 will play 2x30-minutes.
U14 will play 2x40-minutes.
All games will have a 5-minute halftime.
All games must start exactly on time to maintain the tournament schedule. Failure to start the game on time may require the game length to be reduced accordingly.

If your referee is not at the field 5 minutes before the start of your game, please visit the closest field marshal tent and let us know.
The referee’s decision on the play shall be final.

Game Schedule and Results

Game schedules for each team will be emailed to the team officials 2 weeks in advance of the tournament.
Following LTPD community soccer pathway, no results (scores or standings) will be kept.

We encourage family and friends to support their teams but remind them to be respectful and follow tournament guidelines.

1. Registration:

All teams must register online through our official website by the specified deadline.
Registration fees must be paid in full at the time of registration.

2. Eligibility:

Teams must adhere to age and division requirements.
Teams must be composed of players registered with the BC Coastal Soccer League, playing in the same division that they are registered for the tournament.
Overage players are not permitted.

3. Rules and Regulations:

All matches will be played according to the BC Soccer Small-Sided Rules (2023) and Small-Sided Development Policy.
The tournament committee's decisions regarding rules and disputes are final.

4. Code of Conduct:

We expect all participants, coaches, players, and spectators to display good
sportsmanship and respect for all.
Any disruptive or unsportsmanlike behaviour may result in disqualification or ejection from the tournament.
The team players and their supporters' behaviour is the team officials' responsibility. Abuse of the game or tournament officials will not be tolerated.
All participants should know that Field Marshals have the authority and right to remove unruly or uncivil spectators from the game field perimeter and/or the field
complex area.
Any referee abuse will be reported to the appropriate district discipline committee.

5. Player Safety:

Injuries must be reported immediately to a tournament field marshal or other representative.
Players are required to wear appropriate safety gear, including shin guards.
The tournament staff, event operations staff, volunteers and South Burnaby Metro Club are not liable for any injuries sustained by any participant in the tournament, on or off the field.

6. Discipline:

[U11-U14] Any player receiving a red card in a match is subject to discipline as follows:
1. An automatic suspension of his/her next game
2. Potential further review/suspension by the discipline committee
The referee’s decision in matters concerning the Laws of the Game is considered final. The Tournament Officials will not overrule a referee’s decision.

7. Weather Policy:

Games will proceed in the rain but may be delayed or rescheduled in case of severe weather conditions (i.e., snow).
Tournament organizers will make decisions regarding weather-related issues.
No refunds will be provided, and SBMC is not responsible for the team’s out-of-pocket expenses in the event that the tournament is cancelled due to weather.
